COMPTIA CASP UPDATE

CompTIA Advanced Security Professional (CASP) certification is currently available in two exams. The CAS-001 and the CAS-002. The CAS-001 will be officially retired as of June 20th, 2015 and will no longer be available.

The CASP is an advanced IT security professional exam. IT is included in the DoD Directive 8570.1. Prospective candidates should have 10 years of IT experience in general and specifically at least 5 years of IT security experience. The exam is 150 minutes and covers 80 questions. LIke many CompTIA exams, it includes both multiple choice and performance-based questions.

Update June 22, 2015. The CASP-001 is officially retired.
